Sleaze Bag Politics

Nancy Pelosi has successfully found a new low for politics.  In an interview she recently gave to CNN’s John King she claimed that Newt Gingrich will never be President because of “something she knows”.  The insinuation is that she’s setting on a potential  time bomb so explosive that if he gets the Republican nomination she can throw a wrench into the whole political process.
Personally I view Pelosi as the ultimate nit wit.  After all, she’s the one who claimed we needed to pass the health care bill just so we could find out what was in it.  But personal feelings aside, if she truly had something genuinely profound on Gingrich it would be at least her moral (if not also her legal) obligation to bring it forth now so that even if Gingrich couldn’t continue forward, at least the process could unabated.  Instead she’s opting for political party over doing what’s right for the good of the country.  If that doesn’t define her as a sleaze bag than I’m not sure what does.
Frankly I think she bluffing.  After all, we already know about the personal baggage Newt carries.  We also know about political decisions he’s made that weren’t the best.  The only thing left would be something of a legal nature and if she’s purposefully sitting on that type of information she could end up having all kinds of legal problems of her own.  I believe she’s merely trying to plant the idea of there being a potential bombshell in order to turn the public off of Gingrich.  That tells me she fears him as being more formidable than the other remaining candidates.  Ultimately whether she is or isn’t bluffing, it still proves my point that she is playing sleaze bag politics.
